| 교육목표 | The purpose of this course is to help you improve your academic writing skills, especially your ability to write clear, organized, and effective essays in English. You will practice writing both in class and at home, receive detailed feedback from your instructor, and take part in peer review to learn how to improve your own work. This is a practical and interactive course. Even though the focus is writing, you will have many opportunities to brainstorm, discuss ideas with classmates, edit drafts together, and reflect on how to make your essays stronger. By the end of the course, you will feel more confident about writing essays in English for university or exam purposes. |

| 교육특징 | Class Outcomes: By the end of this course, you will be able to write clear, well-structured essays in several academic genres. You will know how to create strong thesis statements, organize ideas logically, and use academic vocabulary and transitions to make your writing flow. You will also gain confidence in revising your work and giving peer feedback, skills that will prepare you for university writing and exams like IELTS or TOEFL. |
| 교육설명 | About this Course: The main themes of this course include learning how to write clear and effective paragraphs, developing coherence through transitions, and mastering essay structure with strong introductions, body paragraphs, and conclusions. We will also study different types of essays, such as problem–solution, comparison, and argumentative, while improving vocabulary and grammar for accurate and academic writing.
Assignments: You will be expected to complete one essay each week as homework. Drafts should be submitted to a shared Google Drive folder, where you will also edit and update your work. In class, you will share your draft for peer review, and after receiving feedback from your classmates you will revise and submit a final draft. Afterwards, I will provide written feedback for each essay, including comments on content, structure, grammar, and vocabulary to help you improve your writing step by step. |
